urban farming
We are about to get some new residents in the Franklin House community. We have two chickens and a chick on their way! We are building a coop right now, here are some pictures of our progress.
We hope to use the floorless bottom to fertilize our square foot garden. Once we have things going, we are excited to share vegetables and eggs with our neighbors, to help the hungry, enrich our friends lives, and enjoy food whose origin we can actually trace.
Thanks to Erin, my wife, for the pictures. Thanks to Paul, my partner in crime. Thanks to Ben Warner, our neighbor, who basically helped us not use hand tools and improvised planning to build this.
